Ocean Shores!

At the end of July I headed to Ocean Shores with my friend Kili for my friend Erin's wedding.  Erin and I have known eachother for about 8 years and met while working at a latte stand.  We have so many fun memories together - one being that she was a bridesmaid in our wedding! Needless to say, I was thrilled to be there on her special day:)  She married a guy named Kevin, who seems just perfect for her!

The beautiful bride and her father - it was super cold and windy on their wedding day, but it didn't rain.  The ceremony was short and sweet and with the ocean in the background.

I didn't take any pictures at the reception, but it was back at the hotel that we were staying at. We had a yummy dinner, cheesecake for dessert, listened to some sweet, touching toasts, and did a little bit of dancing. It was a beautiful celebration.

It was also fun spending time with my friend Kili. We met while teaching first grade together and we have become really good friends over the years.  I don't get to see her enough anymore since I am home with Nelia so we had tons to talk about!  Our last adventure was years ago, before Nelia was even born, to Bellingham and we agreed to many more adventures. Well, life gets busy and this was our first adventure since Bellingham.

My car!  This picture makes me laugh because it looks like my car is a model:) I also had to take a picture because this was my first time driving on the sand and it was so much fun.

A trip to the farm!

Yesterday we went to a little farm/petting zoo in Auburn with our friends Erik and Denise and their daughters Addison and Sophie. What a fun way to spend the day!  The girls had so much fun:)

We started the day with a picnic - I just love this picture of Nelia and Sophie. They look like such big girls sitting at the table:)

Nelia LOVED the chickens. In fact, she now knows what chickens say:)  A few weeks ago we went over to my friend's house for a playdate and they have a chicken coop, which Nelia loved. Needless to say, she loved the chickens at the farm too!

Addison and Sophie feeding the chickens. It was so funny because they had food set out for the kids to feed the animals. There was a bowl of carrots out for the goats and horses and Soph kept trying to grab the carrot for herself to eat:) Silly girl!

Having fun at Gymboree!

Nana came to class with us last week!!!

This picture gives you an idea on how class goes these days - Nelia is usually running away from me and I am chasing her. Silly girl!!! So busy now:)

Last weekend Nana and Grandpa came over to watch Nelia so that Patrick and I could go on a date.  As you will see from the pictures, it looks like they had a fun day!

Headed to the park - and yes, it is August and there are rain clouds in the sky and Nelia is bundled up in a jacket.  Typical Pacific NW weather:)

She doesn't seem too thrilled to be all bundled up - at least she looks cute:)

Hi Roary! I am almost tall enough to reach you. And yes, our cats have an awful habit of sitting on the kitchen counters (which I can't stand), but it is one of the only places they can escape Miss Nelia Jane:)

These two are so adorable together! It has been fun watching them interact more and more with eachother as they get older. We see Hunter and Lindsey at least one day a week, sometimes more, and so they know eachother pretty well now.
