24 weeks!

Wow! I am 6 months pregnant! We get to meet our little girl in about 3 1/2 months! Two weeks ago I was really sick - with a sinus infection AND strep throat! Ick! I finally went to the doctor, started antibiotics (that were safe for the baby), and stayed home from school for three days. In those three days I spent a ton of time laying around, resting, and watching TV. During this time I felt her move around more than I had ever felt her before. It was such an amazing feeling! It made me feel so connected to her:) Since then I have felt her quite a bit, especially in the mornings and evenings as I am laying or sitting down. I love that anytime I am thinking of her I can just push around on my tummy and she will kick back at her mama:)

As you saw from my earlier post we are busy working on her nursery. Once we pick out bedding that we like, then we will start painting and accessorizing:) We registered last weekend, which was quite an experience. We registered at Babies R Us and Target all in one day - it took about 5 hours total! It is just crazy how much stuff this little girl is going to need. Patrick was very patient and provided lots of input and opinions on what we should get, which was nice.

It is crazy how quickly the weekends are filling up! I know that will make July come even quicker. Next weekend we are going to hopefully visit my mom and then I am going to my best friend Martha's family baby shower. The following weekend Patrick and I are going to Vegas for our 'babymoon'...not exactly an ideal location for a pregnant girl, but it was cheap and it is going to be warm! We plan to spend lots of time by the pool, eat lots of yummy food, and we just bought tickets to see the Cirque Du Soliel show, O, which I heard is amazing. Then the following weekend I am hosting a shower for Martha and her friends, which I am really excited about! Busy times up ahead!


My next appointment is on Monday, March 30th. In the meantime, here is a picture of me taken at 24 weeks, 2 days:

The bedding dilemma!

We ordered and received the bedding set from Pottery Barn. I love it, unfortunately I am not sure if I love it enough to not explore other options. With that said, here are three sets that I currently love:) Please vote for your favorite down below!

Baby bedding!

Who would have thought that picking out baby bedding would be so hard??!!! However, we have found bedding that we love!

I love that it is simple, yet super cute. I love the combination of the pinks and greens. I think the little birdies are just adorable!

I can't wait to see her nursery come together! We put together her crib yesterday and it definitely made things seem more real. Her bedding should be here sometime this week. Yay!

A friend of mine has a little girl and was selling a bunch of her clothes for way cheap. It was too hard to resist! We got a big bag of the cutest little baby girl clothes:)

It is hard to believe that we only have about 4 months to go until we get to meet her. It seems so close, yet so far away. I think both of us are really starting to get excited to meet her! We wonder who she will look like. We wonder what her personality will be like.

Yesterday morning I had breakfast with two of my best friends, Martha and Sarah. They are planning my friend baby shower (thanks ladies!) and they had never met so it was a nice opportunity for the three of us to get together and talk all things baby and school (we are all teachers). It was lots of fun! I have to give a shout-out to Sarah because she told me yesterday that she checks the blog daily (if not several times a day) to see if I have posted anything new:) Thanks for following along m'dear! Baby L is lucky to have an "auntie" like you!

22 week baby belly!

Look at the baby belly! I feel like I had a growth spurt in the last few days. Not only do I look bigger, but I feel bigger. However, with the exception of a cold that I have been trying to get rid of for the last two weeks I am feeling pretty great. I definitely feel full of energy in the morning, but usually by the afternoon I am starting to get tired and by the evening I am completely wiped out!

Due to my anterior placenta I haven't been feeling her kicking around too much in there. I did feel her quite a bit over the weekend as I layed in bed in the morning. My friends have reassured me that I will eventually feel her so that makes me feel better.

We completely cleared out her bedroom, which was a huge job! I have no idea what we will do when we have baby #2 because all the rooms in our house are packed! We have her crib and dresser and we have picked out her bedding. Next up on the list of things to do: pick out a paint color, find a glider, and register! Fun times!!! I just can't wait to meet this little girl!!!!!
